The Best Macaroni Salad (Sweet Macaroni Salad)

The Best Macaroni Salad is a staple for every cookout, holiday dinner or special occasion at our house. We've been making this macaroni salad that has a sweet dressing that just goes perfectly with just about every meal.

Ingredients

  • 16 oz elbow macaroni or cavatappi
  • 1 bell pepper diced
  • 1 red onion diced
  • 3 stalks celery diced
  • 1 carrot diced or shredded
  • 2 cups mayonnaise
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • ½ cup white vinegar
  • 8 oz shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  • Cook macaroni according to package directions. Drain and rinse with cold water until cooled. Drain well.
  • In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, sweetened condensed milk and vinegar.
  • Add macaroni and dressing together in a bow, mixing to combine.
  • Add vegetables and shredded cheese and mix well.
  • Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour or until ready to serve.

Notes

Refrigerate up 3-4 days in an airtight container.
