Ingredients

  • ¼ cup butter
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon spicy brown mustard or dijon
  • 1 tablespoon dried onion flakes
  • 2 teaspoons granulated garlic
  • 24 King's Hawaiian Rolls
  • 1 ½ cups pizza sauce
  • 4 cups mozzarella cheese shredded
  • ¾ pound smoked ham thinly sliced
  • 2 cans pineapple slices drained

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°.
  • Make the garlic butter by combining melted butter with Worcestershire sauce, mustard, dried onions and garlic. Set aside.
  • Slice Hawaiian Rolls in half using a large serrated knife.
  • Place the bottom of the rolls into a 9 x 13 inch pan.
  • Spread 1 cup of pizza sauce over the rolls and top with half of the cheese.
  • Layer ham and pineapple rings. If you don't use all of the pineapple rings, store in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 1 week.
  • Add remaining pizza sauce and top with remaining cheese.
  • Add the roll tops.
  • Brush garlic butter over the rolls.
  • Top with foil and bake for 30 minutes, remove the foil and continue to bake another 5 – 10 minutes until buns are toasted and cheese is melted.
  • Remove from oven and rest 5 minutes.
  • Slice between the rolls to make individual sandwich sliders

Notes

  • Additions: Roasted red peppers and caramelized onions are great additions. Crispy bacon is another great addition.
  • Variations: Use any melty cheese that you have on hand. If you aren’t a pineapple fan, it is optional.
  • Storage: Store leftover sliders covered in plastic wrap or in an air tight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
  • Reheat: Wrap sliders in aluminum foil and bake at 350° for 10- 15 minutes or until heated through.
