Ham and Cheese Stuffed Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 2 cans refrigerated Grands Biscuits
  • 1 pound ham 1 1/2 inch chunks or slices
  • 16 slices cheese pepper jack, smoked gouda or colby jack
  • ¼ cup butter
  • 2 garlic cloves sliced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh herbs cilantro, parsley or thyme

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°.
  • Preheat oven to 375°.
  • Butter a 9 x 13 casserole dish.
  • Remove biscuits from the can and divide the flaker layers of each biscuit into 2 pieces.
  • Add 1/2 slice of cheese, folded into quarters and a chunk of ham to each biscuit half.
  • Pinch the biscuit dough together to form a ball.
  • Place biscuit balls into the buttered pan, seam side down.
  • Bake for 22- 25 minutes until biscuit dough is baked through.
  • Make the garlic butter by combining butter and sliced garlic cloves in a small skillet, cook over low heat for 3- 4 minutes.
  • Remove biscuit bake from oven and brush with garlic butter and garnish with chopped herbs.
  • Serve warm or at room temperature.
