Easy Taco Chili

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ large onion diced
  • 1 garlic clove minced
  • 1 ½ pounds lean ground beef
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 Pacific Foods Tortilla Soup Base
  • 1 15 oz can Seasoned Black Beans I used Bush's

optional garnishes

  • cilantro
  • shredded cheese
  • guacamole
  • sour cream
  • salsa
  • lime slices
  • tortilla chips

Instructions

  • Add olive oil to a Dutch oven and place over medium-high heat. Add onion and garlic and cook 3 minutes. Add ground beef and salt. Cook, stirring often until well browned. Add tortilla soup base and black beans. Stir until well combined. Bring to a soft boil and lower heat to a simmer. Simmer for 30 minutes or until ready to serve.
    Garnish with cheese, guacamole and sour cream or your favorite toppings.

Notes

Can be served over rice.
