- 36 ounces blackberries fresh or frozen (washed)
- 2 tablespoons orange juice
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
For the Crumb Topping
- 1 ½ cups all purpose flour
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon fine sea salt
- ¾ cup butter room temperature
- 2 cups Sweetened Whipped Cream optional for serving
Preheat oven to 375°.
Place blackberries into an 11 x 7 inch baking dish with orange juice, granulated sugar, corn starch and cinnamon. Stir to combine.
In mixing bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, salt and butter using your finger tips or a large tined fork until crumbly.
Sprinkle crumble over the blackberries in an even layer.
Bake for 45-50 minutes or until crumble is golden brown.
Remove from oven and cool 15 minutes before serving.
- Storage: Store at room temperature covered in plastic wrap 1-2 days or refrigerate up to 4 days.
- Variations: Any type of berries will work with this recipe or substitute your favorite pie filling.
