Ingredients

  • 750 ml Sparkling Wine
  • 12 ounces Apple Cider
  • 1 tablespoon caramel sauce for garnish
  • 1 tablespoon coarse sugar for garnish
  • apple slices for garnish

Instructions

  • Spoon a tablespoon of caramel sauce into a small shallow bowl. Dip rims of glasses into sauce.
  • Add coarse sugar to another small shallow bowl and dip caramel rimmed glasses into sugar, coating all the way around the edge.
  • Pour about 3 ounces of apple cider into champagne glasses.
  • Top with sparkling wine.
  • Garnish with an apple slice if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Dip apple slices in lemon juice or soak in 1 cup of water mixed with 1 teaspoon of salt  to keep them from browning.
  • Cinnamon sticks are another great option for a simple garnish.
  • Mix 2 tablespoons granulated sugar or brown sugar with 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon to make a cinnamon sugar rim.
  • Drizzle the inside of each champagne glass with caramel for caramel apple mimosas.
  • Apple Cider is perfect for fall cocktails but if you only have apple juice, that will work in this recipe.
