Meatball Poppers

Everyone will love these Meatball Poppers!  Homemade pizza dough wrapped around delicious meatballs and dipped in your favorite pizza sauce.

Ingredients Needed for Meatball Poppers

  • Ground Beef
  • Onions
  • Bell Peppers
  • Eggs
  • Granulated Garlic
  • Kosher Salt
  • Black Pepper
  • Pizza Dough: Homemade pizza dough or store bought
  • Butter
  • Fresh Garlic
  • Fresh Parsley
  • Pizza Sauce

How to Make Meatball Poppers Recipe

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine diced onions and bell peppers with ground beef, eggs and seasonings.
  2. Use a 1 1/2 tablespoon cookie scoop to make meatballs and place on a baking sheet with space in between.
  3. Bake or grill meatballs until they reach 160° using a digital meat thermometer. Remove from grill or oven and cool slightly.

  1. Divide pizza dough in half, then each half into quarters and each quarter into 4 pieces to make 32 pieces.
  2. Roll each dough piece into a ball and flatten on a floured surface.
  3. Add a meatball to each dough round and pinch the edges to form a ball.

  1. Place into a buttered skillet or large baking pan.
  2. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  3. Remove from oven.
  4. Melt butter in a small skillet and add garlic cloves, cook over low heat 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat and add in chopped parsley.
  5. Brush garlic butter over meatball poppers.

Recipe Notes

  • Storage: Store leftover meatball poppers in an airtight container in the refrigerator 3-4 days.
  • Reheat: Cook meatball poppers on a baking sheet in a 350° oven for 12- 15 minutes or until heated through.

  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped
  • 12 ounces pizza sauce
