How to Toast Nuts with Our Never Burn Method

  1. Preheat Your Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 400°F.
  2. Turn Off the Oven: Once your oven reaches 400°F, turn it completely off.
Pan of sliced almonds, pan of walnut halves.
  1. Spread Out the Nuts: Arrange your nuts in a single, even layer on a cookie sheet. Don’t overcrowd the pan; give each nut space to toast evenly. I am using 2 jelly roll size pans that will fit onto one oven rack – sliced almonds in one, walnut halves on the other. This will work with any nut variety or raw mixed nuts.
  2. Place in Oven: Immediately place the cookie sheet in the oven and double-check to make sure the oven is turned off.

  1. Cool Completely: Leave the nuts inside the oven until they are completely cooled. The residual heat gently and evenly toasts the nuts without burning.
