My family loves pickles and we’ve made Cheesy Ranch Pickle Cruffins, Pickle Roll Ups, Pickle Dip, Fried Pickles and even Pickle Lemonade but this Cheesy Pickle Bread is extraordinary. We can’t get enough of it and it’s the perfect party appetizer to feed a crowd.

Ingredients Needed for Cheesy Pickle Bread

Ingredients for cheesy pickle bread.
  • Pickles: We are using Bread and Butter Pickles and Kosher DIll Pickles – use your favorites.
  • Green Onions
  • Candied Jalapenos: We are using a mild jalapenos, use spicy if it’s what you prefer. Also if you don’t have candied jalapenos, pickled jalapenos work too.
  • Mayonnaise
  • Butter – softened.
  • Granulated Garlic
  • Fresh Ground Pepper
  • Mozzarella Cheese
  • Monterey Jack Cheese
  • French Bread Loaf

How to Make Cheesy Pickle Bread

  1. Drain pickles on a paper towel, removing excess juice. 
  2. Coarsely chop the pickles, slice the green onions into thin slices and chop the jalapenos.

  1. Add mayonnaise and butter to a bowl with garlic and pepper; mix together with a wooden spoon or use an electric mixer. 
  2. Next add all of the shredded cheese.
  3. Add the chopped pickles, sliced green onions and jalapenos and mix well.

  1. Cut the french bread in half lengthwise. Place on a parchment paper lined baking sheet.
  2. Spread pickle and cheese mixture over each half of the bread in an even layer.

  1. Bake for 25- 30 minutes or until bread is crisp around the edges and cheese is melted and bubbly. 
  2. Remove from oven and cool 5 minutes.

  1. Slice into 3 inch slices and serve while hot or at room temperature. 

Recipe Notes

  • Storage: Store leftover cheesy pickle bread in an airtight container or ziploc bag in the refrigerator 2-3 days.
  • Reheat: Place on a parchment paper lined baking sheet and cook at 325° for 10 minutes or until heated through.

    Missy made this pickle bread the last time they visited, we are addicted to this stuff seriously cannot stop eating it. It is so good. You have to try it..
